"The interagency mechanism on energy." Aims to forward the work of the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) and to promote co-operation in energy matters across the UN system. Site contains information on workplan and activities, and links to sites of member organisations in the UN system.

World Bank Group Energy Program
Detailed information about all aspects of World Bank energy strategy and policy. Texts of Discussion paper series and Working papers from the Energy Department; information about the Group's projects and programmes.
World Energy Council
Information about the Council's works and details of its publications, several of which are available online (in some cases freely, in others for members only). Data from Survey of energy resources gives information about individual countries' and regions' energy profiles. There are also links to other energy indicators and sources of data, and to other sites. A Supply source directory gives details of "thousands of companies and organisations who supply goods and services to the energy sector".
World Resources Institute
