Centre for the Study of Globalisation and Regionalisation
Based at the University of Warwick. Includes the CSGR Globalisation Index which "measures the economic, social and political dimensions of globalisation for countries on an annual basis over the period 1982 to 2001, and combines these into an overall globalisation index, or score". Also texts of working papers and details of research.

Choike: A Portal on Southern Civil Societies – Southern NGO Web Portal
"A directory of southern Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), grouped in five major thematic fields: the people, society, the environment, globalization and communication." Contains full text documents by CHOIKE and other organisatiions, links to websites on related themes, and reports on campaigns being conducted throughout the world.. Also includes an NGO directory (using Advanced Search it is possible to search the web pages of the sites listed in this directory) and an In-depth reports section.

Globalization Research Network (GRN)
"The Globalization Research Network (GRN) is a consortium of research centers whose mission is to conduct collaborative activities among its members and others in globalization areas of scholarly and public concern. These activities include theoretical and applied research and public education."

International Forum on Globalization
"An alliance of sixty leading activists, scholars, economists, researchers and writers formed to stimulate new thinking, joint activity, and public education in response to economic globalization." Contains analyses of the WTO's policies and of GATT and other international trade agreements.

Migrating out of Poverty
Based at University of Sussex. "The main goal of Migrating out of Poverty is to provide robust data and evidence on migration drivers, impacts and policies that will contribute to improving policies affecting the lives of migrants, their communities and countries through a programme of innovative research, capacity building and policy engagement." Successor to Development Research Centre on Migration, Globalisation and Poverty

Realizing Rights: The Ethical Globalization Initiative
The Ethical Globalization Initiative aims "to integrate concepts of human rights, gender sensitivity and enhanced accountability" into approaches to global problems. Concentrates especially on: Equitable international trade and development; Responses to HIV/AIDS in Africa; Humane migration policies. Texts and documents available on Human rights, Globalization, etc.

State of the World Forum
A global network of people and organisations working on "solutions to critical global challenges". Details of activities and meetings.

World Bank: Prospects for Development
From the World Bank Development Prospects Group (DECPG), which "provides information, analysis, and advice on global trends in the world economy, especially on trade, financial flows, commodity prices, and remittances flows, and the impact of these trends on developing countries". Details of publications and products; some (e.g. Propects for the global economy, Commodity price data) have data available online.

Yale Center for the Study of Globalization
Reports and documents from the Center including YaleGlobal Online, a free online journal. Site has sections on the Center's major topics of research (e.g. Global trade reform, Climate change, Global economic governance, etc), with links to relevant research reports.
