Chronic Poverty Research Centre
International partnership of universities, research institutes and NGOs. Working papers, reports, conference papers, a methods toolbox and the newsletter Chronic poverty updates are available electronically. A bibliographic database (free registration required) indexes publication from the CPRC and elsewhere; many of these are available online.

Human Development Reports, 1990 onwards
Commissioned by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Full texts of Global, Regional and National Reports, plus a statistical section which includes tools to help users exploit the data. (Reports 1990-99 also available on one CD in IDS Library; ask at Enquiry Desk.)

Least Developed Countries Report Series
From UNCTAD. "Socio-economic analysis and data on the world´s most impoverished countries ... Each Report contains a statistical annex, which provides basic date on the LDCs." Full texts of reports from 1996 onwards, together with links to text of related publications (e.g. Trade and development report).

Poverty
From the World Bank. "Provides an introduction to key issues as well as in-depth information on poverty measurement, monitoring, analysis, and on poverty reduction strategies for researchers and practitioners." Includes detailed analysis of major topics, links to sources of statistical data, poverty assessments by country, and links to other World Bank policy statements and resources.

World Income Inequality Database (WIID)
"Information on income inequality for developed, developing, and transition countries." Includes the database (zipped Excel file), documentation, and country information sheets. From from the United Nations University/World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU/WIDER).
