Comtrade (Commodity Trade Statistics Database)
"Exports and Imports by Commodity and Partner Country ... includes information for over 130 countries, some of which have been reporting these types of statistics to the United Nations since 1962.The data are recorded according to six internationally recognized trade and tariff classifications." This link is to the full, subscription level version; there is also a public version available. Also available via ESDS (Economic and Social Data Service) International. EIU Country Reports and Profiles - Economist Intelligence Unit
Country reports and annual country profiles in full-text for 116 countries in Africa and the Middle East, the Americas and Asia. Username and password, available from BLDS for IDS members, required off campus.

ESDS (Economic and Social Data Service) International
A range of international datasets, including data from IMF, OECD, UN, World Bank, etc. Members of the University of Sussex can access this via the Online Resources page of the Sussex Electronic Library (Sussex username and password required).

FAOSTAT Subscribers Area
Members of IDS can ask at the Enquiry Desk for the userID and password for the Subscriber service, which provides extended on-line query and downloading facilities.

Government Finance Statistics
International Monetary Fund statistics, updated monthly. Statistical data on financial policies of IMF member governments. Coverage - 1990 until the present. This version only available in IDS Library. If you get a box headed "GFS CD-ROM Installer" just click "Cancel", and then "Exit Setup". It is already installed. Also available via ESDS (Economic and Social Data Service) International; members of the University of Sussex can access this via the Online Resources page of the Sussex Electronic Library (Sussex username and password required).

IndiaStat.com
Comprehensive source of Indian statistical data on all sectors. Origins of the data include Government (state and national) bodies, autonomous and trade bodies, parliament question-answers and others. Access to this database is via password - IDS members can request this at the Enquiry Desk. Our subscription allows access to the associated sector specific sites and makes the database available from anywhere, but usage is limited to 2 users so there may be occasions when your own access is denied.

International Financial Statistics
International Monetary Fund statistics, updated monthly. Contains c.32,000 time series covering 200+ countries, on exchange rates, international liquidity, money and banking accounts, interest rates, prices, production, international transactions, government accounts, and national accounts. Coverage - up until the present. This version only available in IDS Library. If you get a box headed "Install program as another user" just click Cancel. It is already installed. OECD iLibrary
"OECD’s Online Library for Books, Papers and Statistics and the gateway to OECD’s analysis and data ... contains all the publications and datasets released by OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development), International Energy Agency (IEA), Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), OECD Development Centre, PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment), and International Transport Forum (ITF) since 1998 - over 1 000 journal issues, 2 900 working papers, 2 500 multi-lingual summaries, 6 200 e-book titles, 14 000 tables and graphs, 21 000 chapters and articles, and 390 complete databases with more than 4 billion data points." TRAINS (Trade Analysis and Information System) on-line
UNCTAD data on Trade Control Measures (tariff, para-tariff and non-tariff measures) information at tariff line level for over 140 countries. Imports by suppliers at 6-digit level of the International Convention on the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System (HS) for all countries. Imports by suppliers at national tariff line level for selected countries.

UNIDO Industrial Demand-Supply Statistics
Imports, exports and consumption for 73 countries and 81 manufacturing industries, 1981 onwards. 4-digit ISIC code (Revision 2 and 3).
